This brick church in Toulouse, built as part of the Jacobin monastery, has a curious arched panel in the structural bay next to the South door which suggested itself as a site for a sundial.

The design of the sundial is a classic vertical sundial, but it is large enough to fit the scale of the building. The hour lines and numerals are incised into the new render and the face painted. The gnomon, is, as usual, bronze.

The proposal was put before the appropriate authorities who considered that they had other things that they would give priority.
