Mark Dunhill was commissioned to make three garden sculptures for the new headquarters building for British Petroleum near Hemel Hempstead. This was at the time that Peter Ayley and Mark Dunhill shared a studio and workshop in Bristol and consequently, they worked on the project together. The project developed as a bird bath, a sundial and a seat, all worked from Bath stone. The masonry work was led by Mark while Peter designed and made the sundial for casting in bronze. |
